About Us
Models For World (MFW) was founded by industry legend Phil Wong, founder of AsianScene.com, the first Asian modeling site on the web. This non-profit agency was formed through a colaboration with Import legend Christine Mendoza, in hopes of helping models break into the industry without being taken advantage of. MFW has 3 main aspects: Model Directory- a localized directory of models we work with, Elite Models- a list of models we represent exclusively, and Marketing- our event planning and marketing team.
Elite Program: Models that have huge potential and ambition to really make modeling their career are offered the Elite status on our site. Because we are non-profit, we are very strict and picky about who we decide to represent. We look at each Elite candidate as a long term investment, we spend a lot of time cultivating the relationships between our clients and models, developing a program for success. Models accepted into our Elite program have access to our industry advice, including that of celebrity models and photographers. Elite models also have priority with our clients and on our jobs.
Marketing: Our team of trained professionals help companies and events achieve prominent status. We have produced a variety of events such as car shows, fashion shows, parties and clubs, and grand openings. We have the right industry hook-ups to make any event successful. Our staff is involved in all aspects of the entertainment industry with access to the best DJs and equipment, magazines and websites, models and entertainers, and venues and locations. Phil Wong: Phil, the founder of MFW, came to us with over 15 years of experience in the import and modeling industry. He is the founder of AsianScene.com, established in 1998 as the first Asian-American model site and community. He is credited with discovering model legends Francine Dee, Christine Mendoza, Mia Guzman, Lisa Kim Fleming, Cherie Roberts, and many more. His contacts and connections are invaluable and can provide models with insight and consultation on the industry as a whole. Phil holds a BS in Marketing from University of Notre Dame, he started his career with his motorsports shop Phantasy Motorsports in the mid 90s, later as the Import Coordinator for Super Shops Inc, then as the Director of Operations for Goodtimes Motorsports producer of many car shows in the late 90s. He was the creator and producer behind the shows Jingle Jam and Import Jam. Phil has consulted on as many as 300 events including Hot Import Nights and SEMA.

Johnson Huang: As a partner of Models For World, Johnson has been in the import and modeling industry for many years, starting as an operating partner for Tuner Playground.com. He is credited for discovering many local models . He has an extensive entertainment background in the industry with deep roots in the community. Working on his marketing degree at the San Francisco State University, he has consulted on many events and shows. Johnson manages MFW's promotions and corporate relations department.

Andy Cho: Andy comes to us with several years of experience running non-profit organizations. He has acted as corporate CFO for many dot com and community organizations. Andy manages our corporate finances and investor opportunities.

Joanna Lam: Joanna is a dynamo when it comes to promotions. For the last 3 years, she has been the liaison to multiple club and event organizations all over the San Francisco Bay Area.
With the connections that she has attained and keen business sense, she has helped coordinate many of MFW's appearances at big time venues such as Hot Import Nights as well as numerous club events.
Even though she takes her job as MFW's Model Coordinator very seriously, she always keep a calm and cool demeanor as well as a smile on her face when she works not only with MFW's finest, but some of the Import Industry's elite. MFW is very lucky to have some of her professionalism on their staff.

Jay Raymundo: Jay is no stranger to the import and modeling industry. With over 10 years experience under his belt, he joined Phil Wong's team at AsianScene when it made it's debut in 1998 starting as a promoter and through the years worked his way up to being AsianScene's Public Relations Director along the way helping to coordinate and run two of AsianScene's carshows, Jingle Jam and Import Jam. He is one of very few members of the original AS staff to remain with Phil to this day. Jay has worked with many of the import industry's icons such as Christine Mendoza, Sasha Singleton, Francine Dee, Mia Guzman, Kristen Muranaga and Cherie Roberts, just to name a few. As MFW's Public Relations Director, he's working along side the models and staff to make sure everything is running smoothly at all the events.
